Broadening Offshore Support
We invest in vessels and equipment and develop our services with a view to providing outstanding specialised offshore support to the global oil and gas industry.
The Marine Services Division includes Singapore-based Swire Pacific Offshore ("SPO") group, a leading provider of support services to the international offshore energy industry, and a 50% share in Hong Kong's principal engineering, harbour towage and salvage operator, Hongkong United Dockyards ("HUD") group.

Swire Pacific Offshore group

Swire Pacific Offshore group operates a fleet of offshore support vessels servicing the energy industry in every major offshore production and exploration region outside the USA. The group also has a wind farm installation business, a subsea inspection and maintenance and repair (IMR) business.

Headquartered in Tsing Yi, HUD operates Hong Kong's largest and most modern tug fleet.

This 50:50 joint venture was established in 1972 by the merger of Swire's Taikoo Dockyard & Engineering Company with Hutchison Whampoa's Hongkong & Whampoa Dock Company to form Hongkong United Dockyards (HUD). Headquartered in Tsing Yi, the company provides engineering, harbour towage and salvage services.

Trading as Hongkong Salvage & Towage (HKST), the HUD group's Salvage & Towage Division is the largest towage operator in Hong Kong, operating 13 tugs and providing 24-hour service.
