Swire companies are the first in Hong Kong to be included on CDP's 'A List' for tackling water security

Swire Pacific Limited is pleased to announce that the company, along with its subsidiary, Swire Coca-Cola Limited, has secured a place on CDP's A List for action and transparency in water stewardship.

CDP is a global non-profit that leverages investor and buyer power to motivate companies and governments to disclose and manage their environmental impacts. CDP's annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognised as the global gold standard for corporate environmental transparency. In 2020, investors with assets totalling over US$106 trillion requested thousands of companies to disclose data on environmental impact, risk and opportunities through CDP's platform.

More than 5,800 companies around the world responded to CDP's questionnaire in 2020. Swire Pacific and Swire Coca-Cola are among 106 companies that received top scores and are the only companies in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland to be included on the water security A List.

Limited said: "Water security is one of the top global risks identified by the World Economic Forum and the UN predicts a 40% shortfall in the global water supply by 2030. This is the first time we have responded to CDP's water security questionnaire and we are delighted to have earned a place on the A List."
