The Mall at Pacific Place is one of Hong Kong's premier shopping destinations and houses around 130 retail tenants, including high-end department stores and restaurants, an upscale food hall and a six-house cineplex.
Swire Properties owns and manages the Pacific Place complex, with the exception of the Hong Kong JW Marriott, Conrad and Island Shangri-La Hotels, in each of which it retains a 20% equity interest. It also owns and manages Pacific Place Apartments, which offer 270 fully-refurbished serviced apartments.
Island East (TaiKoo Place and Cityplaza)
TaiKoo Place represents a completed investment portfolio of seven Grade A office towers and three technocentres. The TaiKoo Place complex is adjacent to Quarry Bay MTR Station and is connected to the Cityplaza portfolio via covered walkways and areas of street-side retailing and landscaping. Swire Properties wholly owns TaiKoo Place, with the exception of one office tower, in which it retains a 50% interest.
The Cityplaza retail and office complex includes three wholly owned office towers and a shopping mall. Cityplaza is the largest shopping destination on Hong Kong Island by gross floor area and includes three department stores, around 170 retail outlets, an ice rink, a seven-screen cinema and direct access to Tai Koo MTR Station.
Citygate
Swire Properties manages and has a 20% interest in the Citygate mixeduse complex in Tung Chung, the town adjacent to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on Lantau Island. The complex includes a shopping mall, an office building, a 440-room hotel managed by Novotel and direct access to Tung Chung MTR Station.
The core of the Citygate complex is Citygate Outlets, a premier outlet shopping mall on seven levels. The mall includes approximately 90 retail stores, the majority of which sell fashion clothing and sportswear. Its proximity to HKIA makes it an attractive shopping destination for tourists and local residents alike.
Other Interests
Swire Properties has interests in a number of other commercial properties in Hong Kong, including a 60% interest in Island Place shopping centre, a 50% interest in a 26-storey office building in North Point, and various retail and office buildings in Wan Chai.
PROPERTY TRADING
Swire Properties develops high quality residential properties in prime locations that are generally targeted at upper middle to high income earners. The company's trading portfolio in Hong Kong comprises seven luxury residential projects.
In addition, Swire Properties is responsible for the redevelopment, as well as the leasing and management of a property owned by Swire Pacific at 53 Stubbs Road. Known as OPUS HONG KONG, the property is a prime residential development designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry.
HOTELS
Swire Properties owns and manages two hotels in Hong Kong. The Upper House is a 117-room luxury hotel in Pacific Place. Opened in October 2009, the hotel caters for business and leisure travellers who seek high-end, personalised service. The Upper House includes Café Gray Deluxe, which is headed by internationally acclaimed chef, Gray Kuntz.
EAST, Hong Kong is a 344-room business hotel located in Island East. Opened in January 2010, it is positioned as a lifestyle hotel for business travellers seeking a relaxed, convenient and contemporary environment. The hotel includes a gym, an outdoor swimming pool and a high quality restaurant and bar. EAST, Hong Kong complements Swire Properties' Island East portfolio and reinforces the area's status as a fully integrated business, leisure and lifestyle hub.
