Swire Pacific Participates in US$70 Million Financing Round for
Asia's Leading Plant-based Food Business Green Monday Holdings

Investment aligns with Swire Pacific's sustainability vision

Swire Pacific Limited ("the Company") announced its participation as one of the lead investors in Green Monday Holdings' ("Green Monday") latest US$70 million fundraising round, the largest of its kind to date in Asia. The other lead investor was TPG's The Rise Fund. Green Monday also received strong support from premium institutional and individual investors across multiple geographies, including CPT Capital, Jeffries Group, Sino Group's Ng Family Trust, James Cameron and Wang Leehom, among others.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Green Monday operates OmniFoods and Green Common. OmniFoods is a food tech company that produces alternative protein products including OmniPork, OmniPork Luncheon, OmniPork Strip and OmniEat. Green Common provides a total plant-based food retail, distribution and dining operation.

Swire Pacific's investment in Green Monday was made as part of the Company's strategy to identify new and diversified investment opportunities with a strong sustainability element. Green Monday's innovative social enterprise model that promotes a plant-based diet as a crucial means to tackle global warming and food crises aligns with the Company's longstanding sustainability vision and goals.

David Yeung, Co-Founder and CEO, Green Monday Group, said, "We are delighted to be partnering with global leading institutions and investors who share our vision and are aligned in solving some of the planet's most imminent challenges like climate change, public health and food crises not only here in Asia but also worldwide. Now with Swire Pacific and our other mission-aligned partners, we are another step closer to achieving our common goals."

David Cogman, Swire Pacific's Development Director, said, "Green Monday is a company with a vision and mission that we share, and we are very excited about the prospect of collaborating with David Yeung and his team across our group companies. Our airline Cathay Pacific has been serving OmniPork onboard and we look forward to working together further to develop new menus to suit the taste of our passengers. We are also in discussions about working together on the retail front with our network of malls, hotels and food and beverage businesses in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland, as well as associated supply chain operations across the country. Our ambition is to realise our shared commitment to creating a more sustainable world."

Cogman continued, "The supply chain for meat is unsustainable and the world's current animal husbandry practices are hugely damaging to the environment. Food supply is one of the critical problems that society has to solve over the next decade, along with issues like water supply and climate change."
