Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) Welcomes Fourth of 10 Platform Supply Vessel (PSV), Pacific Grackle into the Company's Newest G Class Series (只提供英文版本)

Shipowner and operator, Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd (SPO) celebrated the delivery of its latest Platform Supply Vessel (PSV), Pacific Grackle on Thursday, 17 September 2015 in Japan.

The G Class series is the latest addition to SPO's fleet and is specially commissioned to meet the increasing market demand for PSV vessels. These vessels, with their 4,000-tonne deadweight, are powered by a four-engine diesel electric propulsion plant and equipped with highly efficient counter rotating azimuth thrusters ensuring excellent fuel efficiency. These FiFi 1, DP2 vessels, with their high Environmental Regularity Number (ERN) are SPS Compliant, Clean Class and built LFL* notation ready, to allow for future methanol carriage.

Pacific Grackle is the fourth of 10 vessels in the G Class series that SPO has commissioned Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU) to build. Its sister vessels, Pacific Goldfinch, Pacific Gosling and Pacific Gannet and were delivered in March 2015, May 2015 and September 2014 respectively. Once these 10 vessels are completed, SPO will be one of the top 10 PSV fleet owners in the world.
