Cathay Pacific Adjusts Middle East Network Effective from 2014 Summer Schedule

Cathay Pacific Adjusts Middle East Network Effective from 2014 Summer Schedule

Cathay Pacific Airways today announced that it will make some adjustments to its Middle East network. These changes become effective from the 2014 summer schedule which commences on 30 March 2014.

Dubai
The two daily flights between Hong Kong and Dubai will remain unchanged.

Bahrain
The Bahrain service will be increased to a daily flight with an intermediate stop at Dubai. This daily flight replaces the existing four-times-per week-flight to Bahrain with an intermediate stop at Riyadh.

Riyadh
Riyadh will be served by a direct flight from Hong Kong five times per week. This direct flight replaces the existing daily service with intermediate stops at Bahrain or Abu Dhabi.

Jeddah and Abu Dhabi
Cathay Pacific will stop operating flights to Jeddah or Abu Dhabi from 30 March 2014 for commercial reasons.

Alternative arrangements will be made for passengers booked on Cathay Pacific services that are affected by these changes.

From 2 May 2014 to 20 July 2014, a temporary rerouting of the CX745 Hong Kong-Dubai-Bahrain service will be required due to a partial runway closure at Dubai International Airport for maintenance. During this period, the flight will be changed to a Hong Kong-Abu Dhabi-Bahrain routing. Alternative arrangements are also being made for passengers who have booked on this flight during this period. There is no change for the return Bahrain-Dubai-Hong Kong CX746 flight.

Cathay Pacific remains committed to serving the Middle East and will continue to identify opportunities to strengthen its services to and from the region.

Details of the new Middle East summer schedule are as follows (effective 30 March 2014, subject to government approval):

Hong Kong - Dubai
