Cathay Pacific Announces Details of New Haneda Service

Cathay Pacific Airways today announced it will commence a twice-daily service to Tokyo's Haneda Airport on 31 October in addition to continuing to serve Narita International Airport.

Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Tony Tyler said: "To resume operations to Haneda Airport has been a longstanding wish for Cathay Pacific and we believe this new service will make Tokyo an even more popular destination for Hong Kong people. We will now provide more flights to and from Japan's capital, offering more convenience for passengers and helping to develop further Hong Kong's position as a leading international aviation hub."

With the launch of the twice-daily service to Haneda, the airline's flights to Tokyo will increase to seven a day from the current six. The Narita frequency will be adjusted to five flights a day - four non-stop and one via Taipei. CX524 has been retimed to offer more choice to travellers from Hong Kong.
