Dragonair today relaunched flights to Phuket, Thailand, operating a daily service to the holiday island for the first time.
"We are excited about returning to Phuket, a destination that we first flew to in December 1986," said Chief Executive Officer Kenny Tang. "We are confident that the route will be popular, not only among tourists from Hong Kong and the China Mainland, but also with long-haul travellers.
Dragonair's partner airline, Cathay Pacific, will codeshare on the service and will also promote it throughout its worldwide network.
"Phuket is the first destination to be added to our network since we joined the Cathay Pacific family." Mr. Tang noted. "And with it being marketed worldwide it will help to enhance Hong Kong's status as an international aviation hub."
The flights to Phuket operate A320 aircraft, and the schedule is as follows:
