Dragonair Reschedules Launch of Bengaluru Service to July 1

(Hong Kong) Dragonair today announced it will reschedule the launch of its new service to Bengaluru (Bangalore) in India to July 1. The decision was made after taking into consideration such factors as the availability of local facilities and the amount of time needed to prepare for operations after the opening of the new Bengaluru International Airport.

Passengers who have already booked Dragonair's flight to and from Bengaluru before July 1 will be protected to flights operated by other carriers to minimise any possible inconvenience.

The new daily service to Bengaluru, operated by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, marks the first time for Dragonair to operate passenger flights to India. The service will provide new opportunities for people travelling between Hong Kong and the technology capital of India, located in the south of the country.

Dragonair, an affiliate member of oneworld, is a Hong Kong-based airline operating a fleet of 32 passenger aircraft and eight freighters serving 34 regional destinations, including 21 cities in Mainland China. Dragonair is part of the Cathay Pacific Group, providing seamless connectivity for passengers to more than 100 cities around the globe.
