Six courts, seven days a week, bringing together sport, wellness and the community
Swire Properties announced today that Taikoo Place Padel Club will open to tenants and the public in mid-November 2026. Located at 8 Shipyard Lane and 1067 King’s Road, a short walk from Taikoo MTR station, the Club will introduce a new sport and wellness destination at Taikoo Place.
As Hong Kong’s largest urban padel club, the Club will feature six international competition-standard courts, including three covered and three open-air courts. The sporting experience will be complemented by an open space for events, food and beverage and retail offerings, and recovery amenities, including cold plunge and sauna facilities, creating a complete health and wellness experience for visitors.
The launch of Taikoo Place Padel Club builds on the success of Taikoo Place’s pioneering padel initiative. As the first property developer in Hong Kong to introduce padel to a commercial district, Swire Properties recognised the sport’s ability to foster a more vibrant and connected community. Beyond its popularity as a sport, padel has helped activate Taikoo Place after work, creating a dynamic seven-day destination and reinforcing its status as a Global Business and Lifestyle District.
Since its introduction in 2024, the padel initiative has hosted more than 4,100 hours of play, welcomed over 18,900 participant visits and supported more than 270 hours of corporate events, demonstrating strong demand for new and exciting sport and wellness experiences at Taikoo Place.
Padel has also helped cultivate a more active community through corporate tournaments, school coaching programmes, youth training camps and social play experiences. Highlights have included the Taikoo Place Inter-Corporate Tournament, which attracted 72 corporate teams, as well as community programmes delivered in partnership with Laureus Sport for Good Hong Kong and Taikoo Primary School.
