Supported by Swire Trust, Hong Kong Maritime Museum (HKMM) has launched Swire Marine Discovery Centre (the Centre), which features a new permanent Marine Science Gallery. Comprising an immersive space, interactive installations, marine life photographs and informative research programmes, the gallery aims to raise awareness and educate visitors on the importance of marine conservation. It also highlights ongoing initiatives to sustain and conserve the local marine environment and biodiversity. In addition to the gallery, Swire Marine Discovery Centre includes an adjoining hall and Learning Centre, along with an online resource platform for students and the general public.
Swire Trust also sponsored the free "Swire Family Fun Day" on 22nd March 2025, organised by HKMM. The public had the chance to enjoy a variety of activities while learning about marine science in a fun and engaging way.
