Swire Pacific Limited ("the Company") announced its participation as one of the lead investors in Green Monday Holdings' ("Green Monday") latest US$70 million fundraising round, the largest of its kind to date in Asia. The other lead investor was TPG's The Rise Fund. Green Monday also received strong support from premium institutional and individual investors across multiple geographies, including CPT Capital, Jeffries Group, Sino Group's Ng Family Trust, James Cameron and Wang Leehom, among others.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Green Monday operates OmniFoods and Green Common. OmniFoods is a food tech company that produces alternative protein products including OmniPork, OmniPork Luncheon, OmniPork Strip and OmniEat. Green Common provides a total plant-based food retail, distribution and dining operation.
Swire Pacific's investment in Green Monday was made as part of the Company's strategy to identify new and diversified investment opportunities with a strong sustainability element. Green Monday's innovative social enterprise model that promotes a plant-based diet as a crucial means to tackle global warming and food crises aligns with the Company's longstanding sustainability vision and goals.
